Denise Swain

Denise Swain is a professionally certified guide and tour manager based in Huntsville, Alabama, where she owns and operates Scenethat Tours. A passionate storyteller and a voracious researcher, Denise loves sharing her expertise in civil rights history, southern culture, and the local, hidden gems of the South, which enables her guests to experience a comprehensive and informed visit to each destination she shares with them. 

Denise holds a B.A. in journalism from University of Georgia and a M.A. in speech communication from North Dakota State University. In addition to working in tourism, she has a long and successful career in the advertising industry.  Denise is very active in the Huntsville community, serving on the Museum of Art Black History Committee, volunteering with Trail Care for Land Trust of North Alabama and as a community business leader. She enjoys hiking, bicycling and outdoor concerts in her leisure time.
